Senior Session Guide

A simple guide to help your senior show up prepared, relaxed, and ready.

Before we get there

A few things make a big difference.

This does not need to be complicated. These are the things worth thinking through ahead of time so we can spend the session creating instead of fixing avoidable problems.

01

Clothing

Ready and varied

Have every outfit tried on, clean, stain-free, and wrinkle-free before session day. Pack the shoes, jewelry, hats, layers, and anything else that belongs with each look.

Different looks help create a stronger, more personal gallery. Even smaller changes between outfits can add useful variety.

Make it theirs

Bring what matters

Sports gear, cap and gown, a letterman jacket, Bible, hunting or fishing gear, instruments, western gear, pets, or anything connected to who your senior is right now can help make the gallery feel like them.

If you are adding an animal or anything else that affects our plans, send me an update ahead of time so we can plan around it.

03

Session day

Keep the start easy

  • Make sure your senior is fed before and brings something to drink during the session.
  • Give yourself enough time to arrive without rushing. A calm start makes the whole session better.
  • If family may want to jump in for a couple quick photos, come dressed with that in mind.
  • Payment in full is due at the time of the shoot. If you need to pay by card, just let me know and I can send over an invoice.

You do not need to know how to pose or what to do.

I’ll walk your senior through all of it.
